South Dakota SNAP 2025: Shutdown Ended, Full Benefits Restored!

🚨 South Dakota SNAP 2025: Shutdown Ended, Full Benefits Restored!

Great news for South Dakota families! The federal government shutdown that disrupted November SNAP payments has officially ended. I know it's been a stressful time, but the South Dakota Department of Social Services (DSS) has confirmed that all benefits are being fully restored. Here’s what you need to know.

✅ Full November Payments Are Being Issued

With the federal budget passed as of November 12, the USDA has authorized states to release all SNAP funds. Here's what this means for you:

  • Full Payments Restored: All new and existing SNAP recipients will receive their full November benefits. If you received a partial payment, the remaining balance will be deposited onto your EBT card.
  • No Action Needed: You do not need to do anything to receive your remaining funds. They will be added to your EBT card automatically.
  • New Applications Processed: All new and recertification applications are now being processed normally.
